It is an honor to support the schools in our community and the education of our youth. One of my sisters graduated from Lunenburg High in 1998. I graduated from Lunenburg High in 2000. I took guardianship of my nephew when he was 15 and he graduated from Lunenburg High in 2009. The education I received in Lunenburg nurtured my curiosity for knowledge and sparked my interest in math, art, live theater, and music. Our schools are the most important investment we can make in our community!
While serving as a member of the Planning Board I promoted the concept of a Student Initiative that seeks to promote civic responsibility and a lifetime of civics engagement among our student population. As a Selectman, I’ve worked with key personnel in the school department to establish a curriculum enhancing opportunity by meeting with middle and high school students in civics classrooms to discuss the role of the Select Board, share how local government is organized, and present ideas for student civic projects.
